Meet your guide at Abisko Mountain Lodge and set off on a snowshoe walk through the winter landscape to a remote reindeer enclosure. Meet a Sami reindeer herder and learn about the traditions, challenges, and daily life of reindeer husbandry in the Arctic.

Observe and feed the reindeer while hearing personal stories about Sami culture and life in the far north. Gather around the fire inside a traditional Sami lavvu, where hot drinks and snacks are served in a warm and authentic setting.

Throughout the evening, your guide will take professional photos so you can fully enjoy the experience. As the tour takes place after dark, there is also a possibility of seeing the Northern Lights if weather and sky conditions allow.



Please note: During October and November, if there is not enough snow, the hike will take place without snowshoes.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
