Description

Visit Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant and lion populations. On the second day, visit Datoga & Hadzabe villages in Lake Eyasi.
On this adventure, you will begin your first day by doing a game drive in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant and lion populations and abundance of baobab trees. Then you will spend the night either in the park or in Karatu, which is between Ngorongoro National Park and Lake Eyasi. The following morning after breakfast, you will drive to Lake Eyasi to visit a Datoga and a Hadzabe village and learn about their cultures and ways of life. At the Datoga village you will be shown how they do metal work over an open fire. You will also enter their home and see how food is prepared and how their homes are made. At the Hadzabe village you will learn to make fire, shoot arrows, and witness a traditional dance while learning about this unique hunter-gatherer tribe that speaks in clicks. Then in the late afternoon, you will head back to Arusha to your residence.
