Embark on a 6-day adventure along the Machame Route, also known as the “Whiskey Route,” one of the most popular and scenic trails on Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy beautiful landscapes through lush rainforests, moorlands, and alpine deserts before reaching the snowy Uhuru Peak (5,895m).
Begin your journey at Machame Gate and trek through the rainforest with chances to spot colobus monkeys. Continue to Shira Camp, hiking up through moorland and enjoying breathtaking views of Shira Plateau.
On day 3, acclimatize as you climb high and sleep low, making your way to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower. Conquer the Barranco Wall and trek through beautiful valleys on day 4, reaching Karanga Camp.
On day 5, take a short trek to Barafu Camp, resting and preparing for the midnight summit push. Finally, reach the top of Africa at Uhuru Peak, celebrating your summit before descending to Mweka Camp.
