Description

Embark on a 9-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Follow the Machame Route, also known as the Whiskey Route, and enjoy the most varied scenery of Kilimanjaro.

Begin your adventure in the south-west area of the mountain at Machame Gate. Descend down Mweka on the south-east side of the mountain, offering climbers the most varied scenery of Kilimanjaro.

Visit stunning places such as Shira Plateau, Barranco, and Lava Tower. Spend your nights in mountain tents sleeping two persons per tent. All your supplies and camping equipment are carried by porters and your meals are prepared.

The Machame Route is known as the "Whiskey Route" in comparison to Marangu because it is a more difficult route and trekkers sleep in camping tents as opposed to huts. Machame is the second most popular route on the mountain.

The route takes six days minimum to complete, although seven days is recommended to increase the chances of summiting. The descent is down Mweka on the south-east side of the mountain.
The program will start Arusha and ends up Moshi town.
