ID: GYG768394-1357699
Category:
Country: Tanzania
Duration:
8 days
Description
The Umbwe route kilimanjaro, once considered challenging, is gaining recognition and should not be overlooked. While the initial two days are steeper, the trail remains accessible to many hikers.
Beginning on Mount Kilimanjaro's southern side, it joins with the Lemosho and Machame routes on the third day before reaching the Barranco Wall. A notable feature is the scarcity of fellow trekkers during the first two days. It offers both 6- and 7-day itineraries, with the longer option recommended for beginners lacking acclimatization. Overall, it promises breathtaking scenery, showcasing Kilimanjaro's finest views while traversing its diverse climatic zones and observing its unique flora and fauna.
