7-Day Safari Mikumi, Selous Game Reserve and Zanzibar Beach

Embark on a 7-day tour and explore the major reserves of Mikumi and Selous Game Parks to spot Tanzania's rich wildlife. Get sightings of the Big Five on exciting game drives and proceed to the gorgeous Zanzibar Island. Next, explore the ancient Stone Town, Junazi Forest and the scenic town of Nungwi and finally, relax on Zanzibar's white-sand beaches.

Day 1- After resting from the previous day of flying into Tanzania, drive towards Mikumi National Park, which is very close to Dar es Salaam with a distance of 375 km. Drive for up to 4 hours to arrive at the park in time for lunch.

After checking in at the hotel, proceed to a half-day game drive in the National Park, which links to the southern game and the great Selous Game Park. The game drive is only allowed from 06:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs.

Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2- Mikumi - Selous Game Reserve
Go for an early morning game drive for a last chance to spot the big five as they retreat into secluded places before sunrise.

Get a chance to spot lions and leopards on a kill or finishing up their meal.

Head back to the hotel for lunch, and relax.

Day 3- Back to Dar es Salam - Zanzibar
Early morning, drive back to Dar es Salaam arriving early evening, which will be good time for crossing to Zanzibar.

However, if there is no need to cross, go to Kigamboni beaches for overnight.

Day 4- Zanzibar - Stone Town
09:30 am: Board a boat to Zanzibar, going on a 3 hour cruise.

Arrive around midday into Zanzibar and check-in at the hotel in Stone Town.

After lunch, go for a city tour in the narrow and enterprising streets.

Dinner and overnight at hotel, enjoying the Zanzibar cool winds outside.

Day 5- Jozani Forest
Go on a spice tour, followed by journey to Jozani Forest to see Columbus monkeys.

Later, head to the beach for relaxing.

Day 6- Zanzibar - Nungwi
Head to the north side of the island to explore the slave chambers and the viewing of the places in the Nungwi area, including Mwangapwani Cave.

Visit cultural places and see how local people live in this touristic island.

Later, head to beaches to relax.

Day 7- Goodbye to Zanzibar
Head back to Dar es Salaam once again for the last leg of the tour, depending on time of flight departure.

Guests can choose to fly back to Dar es Salaam or use the boat once again.
