Discover the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary outside Chang Mai. Choose from half-day or full-day programs to feed, interact, and bathe elephants in their natural habitat.
Half-day Program
Session time: Morning 07:00-14:00 or Afternoon 12:00-19:00

Itinerary : (Duration of program: 6 – 7 Hours)
- Pick up from your hotel or accommodation
- Drive approximately 1½ hours through a nice rural area where you can have a scenic view of fresh mountain rivers, rice fields, corn fields, and banana plantations
- Arrive at the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary where you will be briefed about the Sanctuary and change into traditional northern clothing
- Meet the Elephants. Feed and interact in their natural habitat as you learn about their history and understand their behavior
- Walk with the Elephants to the river and bathe them
- Participate in a health check of the Elephants
- Enjoy a delicious local meal and say goodbye to the Elephants
- Leave the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary and ride approximately 1½ hours back to Chiang Mai

Full-day Program
Session Time: 08:00-17:00

Itinerary : (Duration of program: 9 – 10 Hours)
- Pick up from your hotel or accommodation
- Drive approximately 1½ hours through a nice rural area where you can have a scenic view of fresh mountain rivers, rice fields, corn fields, and banana plantations
- Arrive at the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary where you will be briefed about our Sanctuary and change into traditional northern clothing
- Meet the Elephants. Feed and interact in their natural habitat as you learn about their history and understand their behavior. Walk with the elephants in the tropical forest
- Enjoy a delicious local meal
- Make herbal medicine balls that are good for the elephant’s digestive system
- Plant seedlings that will eventually become delicious food for the elephants
- Walk with the Elephants to the river and bathe them
- Participate in a health check of the Elephants
- Change clothes and say goodbye to the Elephants
- Leave the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary and ride approximately 1½ hours back to Chiang Mai

Remark:
- If the weather is too cold and the elephants don’t want to get into the river we would not force them
- All activities of elephants are based on animal welfare. No force elephants.
- The duration includes transportation time which might be different depending on the local traffic

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
