Day 1:
Start your adventure with a pick-up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai by van in the afternoon. Drive south of Chiang Mai to the Mae Wang Valley for about 1.5 hours through beautiful valleys, rice fields and winding rivers. Admire the beauty of your surroundings before being warmly welcomed upon arrival at Pon Elephant Thailand.

Upon arrival, explore the ethical elephant keeper’s area. Greet and see the elephants living in the friendly jungle village before you have the chance to bathe and relax at your leisure. In the evening, help your guide prepare a delicious dinner before dining with your lovely host family. Listen to the sounds of the jungle at night and party with a soft drink or beer by the campfire. Day 2:
Start your morning at the homestay to breathe in the fresh air amidst nature and be amazed by the elephants chanting “Good morning” in front of your bedroom. Enjoy the moment by taking photos, videos or simply watching in awe. Enjoy a delicious breakfast on the terrace surrounded by the beautiful rainforest and stunning elephant views.

After breakfast, learn about the history and traditional culture of elephants and mahouts. Listen to a talk about Asian elephants and the history of the sanctuary. Experience the simple nature of elephant keepers among herds of adult and baby elephants.
Learn how to communicate and care for rescued elephants. Discover how to approach elephants safely. Feed and bathe elephants in the Mae Wang River. Follow the slow-walking elephants and observe them as they search for food in the lush forest.

Finish your elephant activity and collect your luggage. Before saying goodbye to the elephants and villagers, depart from Pon Elephant Thailand and enjoy a swim at Mae Wang Waterfall. Marvel at the beautiful waterfall before continuing your journey to

Experience the thrill of 40-50 minutes on a traditional bamboo raft in the Mae Wang River. Finish the activity before changing clothes before returning to your accommodation in Chiang Mai (approximately 1.5 hours). Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
