Discover the desert of Tunisia on a full-day tour from Djerba. Visit the Berber village of Matmata, the village of Tamazret, and the village of Toujane. Swim in the thermal spring of Kssar Ghilen and enjoy a local lunch.
Depart from your hotel in Djerba and head to Kssar Jouama where you visit an old palace with its Berber rooms. Arrive at Kssar Ghilen and swim in the thermal spring nestled in the middle of a date palm forest. Completely relax in the water, warm enough to be soothing, but cool enough to beat the desert heat.
Enjoy free time to walk on the dunes. Then sit around the hot springs and enjoy a local lunch. Finish your lunch, return to the 4*4 and reach the Berber village of Matmata. Stop at Tamazret, a village flooded in 1969 today inhabited by a few families. Join a cave house, meet your Berber host and sip hot tea made with rosemary, olive oil, and honey prepared by him.
