The Topkapi Palace sits high on a hill at the edge of the city overlooking the Golden Horn, the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus. More than anywhere else in the city, you will feel the ghosts of the imperial past brushing up against you here. Wander along a collection of kiosks and pavilions that line the palace gardens. View the Harem, the private quarters of the Sultan’s family and the source of much western fantasizing. (A tour of the inside of the Harem is not included in the program as it includes an extra entrance fee.)
