Description

This market visit and cooking class begins with you buying your ingredients at the local market before traveling to the Erenler Sofrasi restaurant to prepare a 5-course Turkish meal. It ends with you eating lunch and drinking wine by the Aegean Sea.
At 09:30, you will be picked up from your hotel or the cruise ship port. At your first stop, you will meet your host and culinary guide for a cup of tea.

Next, you will drive to the farmers’ market to shop for the ingredients to make your lunch. Your lunch will comprise of three cold starters, one warm entrée, and a main course. At the market, you will meet local food purveyors selling homegrown olives, wild seasonal greens, vegetables and homemade noodles, jams, pickles, breads, and cheeses.

Once you have bought all the necessary ingredients, you will drive to Erenler Sofrasi in an olive garden. Your final stop is the Erenler Sofrasi restaurant where you be will guided through the delicious secrets of regional Aegean cookery, a special and particularly healthy branch of Turkish cuisine. You can either join in with the cooking sessions or watch while sipping a glass of Turkish wine. Either way you will be given written recipes of each dish.

You will be served lunch in front of the mythological Aegean Sea. At 14:30, you will drive back to your original location in Bodrum.
