Day 1: Transfer to Fort Portal – Amabere Caves & Crater Lakes.

In the morning, begin your journey westward to the scenic town of Fort Portal, the tourism City, nestled at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains.

In the afternoon, visit the legendary Amabere Caves, rich with cultural folklore from the ancient Bachwezi Dynasty. Your guide will walk you through the caves’ fascinating rock formations and stories.

Later, explore the nearby crater lakes, set among lush hills and volcanic landscapes. These lakes offer stunning views and a peaceful setting for a short nature walk before checking in at your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy an early breakfast, then head to Kibale Forest National Park, home to the highest density of primates in Africa. With a ranger guide, set off on an exhilarating chimpanzee trek through the rainforest. Witness these incredible primates up close, along with other monkeys, birds, and forest wildlife.

After the trek, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse ecosystems. Arrive in time to unwind and enjoy your evening at the lodge.

Day 3: Kasenyi Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area for spotting lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, and other savanna wildlife. The open grasslands offer ideal conditions for game viewing.

In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its dense populations of hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds. This two-hour cruise is a highlight of any Ugandan safari.

Day 4: Tree-Climbing Lions in Ishasha & Transfer to Mbarara

After breakfast, head to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park, one of only two places in Africa where tree-climbing lions are commonly seen. Watch for these majestic cats lounging in fig and acacia trees, a truly unique wildlife sight.

Continue your journey to Mbarara, where you'll check in for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Mburo National Park, Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Return to Kampala

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, a compact but wildlife-rich destination. Enjoy a game drive in search of zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, topis, and more. The park’s varied landscapes make for exciting animal encounters.

Later, embark on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife, including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and the elusive shoebill stork.

In the afternoon, begin your return journey to Kampala, marking the end of a memorable safari.
