Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

It will involve a stopover at the equator for an exciting experiment and photo opportunity, then lunch in Mbarara. You continue later through Uganda’s beautiful sceneries to an early arrival in Bwindi, where you shall check into your accommodation for dinner and a restful overnight while gearing up for this exciting adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This day is the highlight of your safari, so wake up early by 6:00 a.m. for breakfast and request a packed lunch from the lodge, as gorilla trekking may last until afternoon. Your driver will take you to the Bwindi park headquarters in time for the 7:30 a.m. briefing. A ranger-guide will explain trekking guidelines, gorilla families, and the forest’s rich history. You will then be allocated to a gorilla family, with groups limited to eight people. Hiking sticks are provided, and porters are available for hire to help with heavy luggage or equipment.

The trek can last from 30 minutes to six hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find them, spend one unforgettable hour observing and photographing these majestic primates. After the trek, return to the park headquarters to receive a certificate of participation.

In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community, the forest’s original inhabitants. The cultural trail introduces their traditional lifestyle, hunting techniques, and challenges adapting to modern life.

Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a breathtaking lake surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 islands—an ideal spot to relax and reflect on the day.

Once you arrive in Kampala, you will be transfered to the airport for onward travel or taken to your hotel.
