Description

Explore the Isle of Skye and the Highlands on a 3-day tour. Visit Eilean Donan Castle, see the Jacobite Train cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and take a cruise on Loch Ness.
Day 1: Highlands, Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct on to Skye

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive through the Highlands, stopping at Loch Tulla Viewpoint to take in the breathtaking views of mountains, lochs, and forests. Continue through the dramatic scenery of Rannoch Moor, the largest bog expanse in the UK, before arriving at the iconic Three Sisters of Glencoe.

Next, head to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, a world-famous Harry Potter film location, to witness the ‘Hogwarts Express’ steam train crossing the viaduct. Afterward, take a ferry from the fishing village of Mallaig to the Isle of Skye.

We will start our exploration of the Isle of Skye, with a visit to the Fairy Pools: beautiful crystal-clear blue pools on the Allt Coire a' Mhadaidh. Hike the pools and maybe even go for a swim if you’re brave enough! On the way to your accommodation, we will stop over at Sligachan Bridge, where you can dip your face in the water to be granted eternal beauty by the fairies.

Day 2: Isle of Skye on to Inverness

We will start the day by visiting the Old Man of Storr where you can hike to the iconic stone formation. You may recognise it from the opening sequence in the 'Prometheus' movie from the 'Aliens' universe.

Next, visit the impressive Lealt Waterfalls and the Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls viewpoint. Stop at An Corran Beach in Staffin to find the recently discovered Megasaurus dinosaur footprints. Then, head to the Quiraing, another amazing vantage point for stunning photos, and the famous photogenic Fairy Glen.

Leaving Skye, we will take you to Eilean Donan Castle, the most photographed castle in Scotland, and the quintessential 'picture postcard' of Scotland. You may also recognize it from the famous 80's 'Highlander' movie. We will also stop at the award-winning Chocolates of Glenshiel chocolaterie for some hand-made chocolates or hot chocolate before heading over to Inverness where we will drop you off at your accommodation.

Day 3: Loch Ness, Cairngorms, Perthshire and Hairy Coos

We will start the day by taking you for a cruise of Loch Ness, where you can witness the stunning views of the Loch, as well as learn about its history and legends. We will then head over to the 4000-year old burial cairns and stone circles at Clava Cairns, which were the inspiration for Craigh Na Dun in the hit TV series 'Outlander'. Nearby, we will visit Culloden Battlefield where the Jacobites were finally defeated before we head to Perthshire through the beautiful Cairngorms National Park.

In Perthshire, we will stop at the quaint Victorian town of Pitlochry, where you can explore the many independent shops and cafes, before we head over to the final stop of the day - to feed our famous Highland Cows!

We will then drop you off at your accommodation.
