See Alaskan wildlife on this whale-watching tour in Hoonah that takes you out into the waters near Glacier Bay and Icy Strait, where humpback whales feed each year before heading south for the winter.
You will be picked up at the Icy Strait Exclusive 3rd Excursions Hub , then driven into Hoonah where you will board your whale watch boat. Then off you go to view Alaska's beautiful scenery and wildlife. You will see humpback whales, you may see Orca's, Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Otters and a large amount of birds. Afterwards you can choose to stay in town for a bit or head back. We have shuttles that run every 30 minutes from the Hoonah Travel Adventures Transportation Hub.
The Hoonah whale season is roughly May to September.

Connecting Instructions
If your ship is docked at the Adventure Dock, proceed ashore to the Icy Strait Point Adventure Center. Once inside the Adventure Center walk through the building and exit through door number “2”. (This is clearly marked above the door). Follow the signs on the gravel path to the Excursion Hub. The total walking time is 6-8 minutes, please allow extra time if you are not a fast walker. We ask that you check in for your tour 15 minutes early and we leave on time.
If your ship is docked at the Wilderness Dock, walk all the way up the dock and to the right. Ride the FREE Green Transporter Gondola(4 minute ride). Exit the Gondola and go left, follow the signs on the gravel path to the Excursion Hub, a 3 minute walk. Look for the Hoonah Travel Adventures Rep dressed in a blue shirt or rain coat and tan pants.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
