Make the short drive from Jackson to your meeting point to greet your guide and meet your trusty horse. Let your guide select a horse that best fits your physique and experience. Have peace of mind as they teach you basic horseback riding techniques to make sure you feel safe and comfortable.

Start your experience with a ride past Ann’s Pond. Pause to see if there are moose nearby before continuing on through a forest of aspens and pines. Ride through a meadow of native wildflowers before reaching a photo stop with views of the Beaver and Cream Puff Mountains in the distance.
Travel down the mountain trails of the Bridger Teton National Forest on your horse. Wind through a landscape of Douglas Firs, Lodge Pole Pine trees, Blue Sagebrush, and Alpine Wildflowers. Ride along - and sometimes through - the crystal clear water of Willow Creek towards the famous Snake River.

Be on the lookout for wildlife encounters as part of your ride. Keep your eyes peeled for all kinds of animals, knowing that your journey takes you through the natural habitat of the Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer, Shiras Moose, Red Tailed Hawks, and the American Bald Eagle.

Meet your guide at the camp. To get to the camp from Jackson Town Square, drive south on Broadway Ave. (US-26) for about 13 miles toward Hoback Junction. At the Hoback Junction traffic circle, take the 2nd exit toward Pinedale and continue approximately 4 miles to Bryan Flats Rd. After driving about 4 miles, watch for the large wooden moose in the pasture on the right-hand side of the highway, turn right, and follow Bryan Flats Rd. for 1.4 miles (at this point you will be on a well-maintained dirt road). The base camp for Willow Creek Horseback Rides will be on your right-hand side.

Cancellations

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
