Description

Escape the hustle and bustle of Saigon City and head south. Explore the less touristy side of the Mekong River: a timeless expanse of slow-moving water, simple villages, and rolling rice fields.
Pick-up from your hotel at 7:30 AM
- Travel on an expressway for about two hours, enjoying views of green rice paddies and tropical fruits in the Mekong Delta
- Stop at Kimmy Chocolate Manufacture, where you can observe local farmers tending to cocoa trees and see the chocolate-making process
- Upon reaching Cai Be, observe local people making traditional products such as pop rice cakes, rice wines, rice papers, and coconut candies
- Return to our boat and travel to another location, where you can take a sampan boat ride through fruit orchards, apple mangrove trees, and coconut groves
- Visit a local orchard garden to sample seasonal fruits, listen to traditional folk songs, visit a bee farm, and taste hot honey tea
- Participate in a cooking class and enjoy lunch at a local leaf-roof restaurant featuring delicious Mekong spring rolls, pancakes, and deep-fried Giant Elephant Ear Fish. You also have the option to relax in a hammock, go kayaking, or ride a bike around the village
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City and expect to be dropped off at your hotel around 6:30 PM (ETA)
