Explore Santiago on a mountain bike tour with a local guide. Choose between an easy or intermediate route, enjoy a traditional meal, and take in stunning views.
For both routes we start with transport from Tarrafal to the highlands of Assomada. For our easy route, you will then enjoy a gentle descent into Cancelo along scenic dirt roads, passing through rural landscapes and continuing toward the coastal village of Calhetona before looping back to Assomada. Along the way, stop at beautiful lookout points to rest and take in the views. After the ride, we will unwind in Assomada with a traditional Cape Verdean meal at the local market and take a short walking tour of the town.
For more experienced riders, the intermediate route includes a mix of challenging climbs and fast descents through varied terrain. Depending on the weather, the tour will start from either Calheta or Assomada and cover inland trails, hillside paths, and mountain slopes. Expect a workout, but also stunning coastal and mountain views along the way. There will be several breaks for rest, refreshments, and photo opportunities. At the end of the ride, enjoy a well-earned coffee and snack at a local café.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
