Learn the ancient art of mosaic-making from a master in a professional mosaic studio in Rome. Practice the principles of texture and marble tile cutting to create your own Roman mosaic to take home.
Learn the ancient art of mosaic-making by creating your own piece in a workshop led by a master mosaicist, set in Rome’s historic Monti neighborhood.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to the techniques and history of Roman mosaics. Afterward, you will practice the principles of texture, composition, and marble tile cutting to create your own mosaic to take home. It is fundamental for us to teach the authentic techniques of Roman mosaic craftsmanship. Therefore, your mosaic will fulfill ancient requirements.
The final result is your own personal mosaic, approximately 7” x 5” in size and weighing 14 oz, to take home. This is a full-immersion work experience, where you will work in an authentic mosaic studio and handle specific tools.
For safety reasons, we recommend this experience for ages 12 and up.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
