Create a mini gayageum in a workshop overlooking Bukchon Hanok Village. Learn about the instrument's history and significance from an expert.
Head to a studio in Bukchon Hanok Village and meet your instructor, a gayageum expert with 26 years of experience. Receive a high-quality gayageum kit and learn how to assemble it with the help of your instructor.
Use paulownia wood, the same material used in real gayageums, to create a 1/5 scale model of the instrument. Learn about the structure and principles of the gayageum as you assemble the strings and other components.
Enjoy the view of Bukchon Hanok Village from the studio’s large windows as you work on your project. Listen to your instructor share stories about the history and culture of the gayageum and Korean music.
Take home your finished mini gayageum as a souvenir of your trip to Korea.

Mini Gayageum Only: This option includes the workshop only; Hanbok experience is NOT included.
For the Premium Package, we will start with the 80-minute Gayageum lesson (including Hanbok and photo printing) followed by the 60-minute mini Gayageum workshop.
We are located near Anguk Station, Exit 1. You can find us on the 3rd floor of the white building (A&B), right next to the CU convenience store and Life4Cuts (인생네컷). As you walk from Bukchon toward Samcheong-dong, look for the video screen at the entrance of the building.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
