Description

Explore Old Seoul’s retro alleys with a Seoul-born local. Discover temples, hanok streets and neon-lit backstreets while taking memorable photos and experiencing Seoul from daytime to night.
Discover the character of Old Seoul on a relaxed walking experience with a local guide who was born and raised in the city. Explore temples, streams, hanok streets and retro alleys while taking plenty of memorable photos along the way.

Begin at Jogyesa Temple, a peaceful contrast to the busy streets of central Seoul. Experience the atmosphere of a Korean Buddhist temple and learn about everyday temple customs and traditions from your Seoul-born guide.

From there, walk along a section of Cheonggyecheon Stream and see how the old downtown and modern Seoul exist side by side. Take your time, enjoy the walk and stop for photos along the way.

Continue to Ikseondong, one of the most atmospheric parts of Old Seoul. Its narrow alleys are filled with traditional hanok houses, retro signs, small shops and cafés. Enjoy 30 minutes of free time to grab a coffee, browse the shops, use the restroom or simply take a break.

After your break, explore Ikseondong’s maze of alleys together. Look for interesting corners, old-meets-new street scenes and distinctly Korean backgrounds while taking plenty of travel photos. Your guide can also help take photos of couples, friends, families and solo travelers using your phone.

As daylight fades, walk toward Jongno 3-ga and watch the atmosphere change. Neon signs begin to glow, old restaurants fill with locals, and the famous pocha streets come alive for the evening. Capture a completely different side of Seoul as the retro alleys transform after dark.

Finish in Jongno 3-ga, where your guide can recommend local restaurants, pocha streets or places to continue exploring on your own.

This is not a professional photoshoot. It is a relaxed Old Seoul walking experience where discovering retro alleys, taking memorable travel photos and experiencing the city with a Seoul-born local are all part of the journey.
