Take a scenic helicopter flight to or from the Great Barrier Reef, enjoy the facilities and activities of the pontoon, such as snorkeling, a glass bottom boat tour, waterslide, and more.
With this option, you can select to upgrade your Reef Experience by selecting to:
- Cruise Fly: Take a catamaran to the reef, and a helicopter flight back to Cairns
- Fly Cruise: Take a helicopter flight to the reef, cruise back on the catamaran,
- Fly Fly: Fly out to the reef, and back to Cairns on a helicopter!
Complimentary transfers will take passengers from the Reef Fleet Terminal to the helicopter departure point.
This tour takes you to the Great Barrier Reef, where you enjoy a raft of included water activities from Moore Reef multi level pontoon.
Moore Reef is a prime location on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, abundant with soft corals and marine life.
Learn about the reef and its diverse ecosystems on the outward journey with presentations given by marine experts. Upon arrival at the pontoon choose from an array of activities suitable for both swimmers and non-swimmers alike.
Make use of the inclusive snorkelling equipment. Alternatively, watch the daily fish feeding presentation, or take a trip on the glass bottom boat or semi-submersible tour with marine experts providing commentary.
Soak up the rays on a spacious sun deck, or make a splash on a theme park-style waterslide. See the reef without getting wet in the underwater observatory.

Check-in & collection of boarding pass is required adhering to the schedule advised at the Sunlover desk inside the Reef Fleet Terminal. Passengers failing to present prior close of check-in may miss the tour (No refunds apply for missed tours).

10:50am – Check in @Sunlover desk inside the Reef Fleet Terminal (1 Spence St)
11:00am – Transfer to Zoom Hangar @ General Aviation Cairns Airport
11:20am – Arrival at Zoom Hangar, Safety Briefing & Boarding
11:45am – Depart on helicopter from Cairns (approx. 25 min flight)
12:10pm – Arrive at Moore Reef pontoon ~ 3 HOURS OF REEF TIME (APPROX.)
3:30pm – Depart Moore Reef on helicopter (approx. 25 min flight)
03:55pm – Return to Zoom Hangar @ General Aviation Cairns Airport Cairns
04:10pm – Transfer back to the Reef Fleet Terminal
04:30pm – Arrival at Reef Fleet Terminal
