Cairns: Mareeba Wildlife Tour with Wallabies & Photos

Join a half-day wildlife tour from Cairns to Mareeba with a Japanese-speaking guide. Visit Granite Gorge Nature Park, hand-feed wallabies, and enjoy free photos of your tour.
Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Cairns City or Cairns North and drive over the Kuranda Range to Mareeba, a region famous for Australian-grown coffee.

The first stop is Coffee Works in Mareeba, a coffee and chocolate shop where you can taste locally grown coffee, have breakfast, try original chocolates, and shop for souvenirs (food and drinks at your own expense).

Next, visit Granite Gorge Nature Park, home to wild Mareeba rock-wallabies. Hand-feed the wallabies with the park's special food, look for other wildlife among the huge granite boulders, and take plenty of photos. Depending on the day and the condition of the animals, you may also be able to hold snakes or lizards.

Afterwards, see giant termite mounds that are taller than a person, then take a break at Emerald Creek Ice Creamery, a popular local ice cream shop (purchase at your own expense).

At around 12:00 PM, you can choose to leave the tour in Kuranda Village to explore on your own (return transport to Cairns is not included, please arrange it when booking), or return to your hotel in Cairns at around 1:00 PM.

Your guide takes photos of you throughout the tour and sends them to you after the tour for free. Drone shots are also available on request on the day.
