Meet China's most loved animal, the Giant Panda on this tour from Chengdu. Visit the UNESCO-listed Leshan Giant Buddha to admire this 71-meter high statue which holds over 1000-years of history.

Start the tour with pick up from your hotel located within the 2nd ring of downtown Chengdu. Enjoy a comfortable transfer to the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is just a 1-hour drive away at the edge of the city. Spend approximately 2 to 2.5 hours exploring the breeding center. See pandas from tiny pink newborns(if new cubs are born) to giants which reach up to 1.5 meters tall. Admire the adorable panda babies running around their play enclosures, laying in the pool, or climbing the trees.
Next, head over to the historic Leshan Buddha located is 2.5 hours away along the expressway. Stop for a quick lunch (lunch cost is not included), then discover the world's largest sitting Buddha statue which is about 71 meters high crafted out of a cliff face. If the situation allows, the guide will take you for a closer look at the Buddha's head and feet. Find out more about Buddhism and local beliefs in the Lingyun Temple next to the Giant Buddha.
After 2 hours at Leshan, head back to Chengdu. Depending on traffic, END THE TOUR NEAR TIANFU SQUARE. PLEASE BE NOTED: HOTEL DROP-OFF SERVICE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR.
Please Note that the gallery road of Leshan Giant Buddha is closed till April 30th, so we can't see the Buddha feet from bottom to the top.
