Puno | Excursion to La Paz and Tiwanaku | Full day

Immerse yourself in an excursion from Puno to La Paz, you will discover rich culture and amazing landscapes, cross the border and discover the ancient ruins of Tiwanaku.
Itinerary

We will pick you up very early at your hotel at 4:00 am.
From here we will start our journey to the border between Peru and Bolivia, located in Desaguadero, here we will enter Bolivia towards the capital.

After 4 hours of travel, we will arrive in La Paz and we will have a guided tour through the colonial quarter, the 16 de Julio avenue and the Mariscal Gamarra avenue, we will also visit the historical centre, the San Francisco Church and the Witches Market.

After the visit in La Paz, we will take the bus to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku, where one of the most important pre-Columbian cultures of Bolivia developed.
We will make a tour of its constructions and unveil its secrets: the temple of Kalasasaya, the pyramid of Akapana and the Gate of the Sun. We will also be able to admire the queros or ceremonial vessels, as well as walls decorated with figures of human faces called huaco - portraits.

At the end of the tour, you will have an overview of the cultural and patrimonial richness of Bolivia.

With this feeling and the experiences we will embark back to Peru and we will be in Puno between 14:00 and 15:00.
