Sarajevo: Rafting on the Tara River & Climb to Maglić

Climb with us to Maglić, the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a true challenge for adventurers. We offer you the opportunity to enjoy the stunning natural beauty of this region. Visit the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint, which offers a magnificent view of the Skakavac waterfall, camp by Trnovačko Lake, and descend through the deepest canyon in Europe – the Tara and Drina rivers. We will also visit Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where different eras of its history intertwine, and taste various specialties prepared in traditional ways. This adventure guarantees great fun and unforgettable memories!
DAY 1: Upon landing at the airport around 9:35, our vehicle will pick up the group, and together with the guide, they will head to breakfast at the Kula restaurant. At 11:00, the journey will continue to Prijevor, from where we will descend to Trnovačko Lake, set up camp, prepare dinner, swim in the lake, socialize around the campfire, and overnight in tents.
DAY 2: Wake up and enjoy coffee and breakfast by the beautiful Trnovačko Lake. After that, our chefs will begin preparing lunch while you start the ascent to Maglić with the guide. The hike lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours with occasional breaks. Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Durmitor mountains (2523 m), Zelengora (2014 m), Volujak (2336 m), Treskavica (2086 m), and other slightly lower peaks. After taking photos and resting, we will descend from Maglić. Lunch awaits us at Trnovačko Lake, and after lunch, we will pack our gear and head to Prijevor, while our friends transport the equipment to the vehicle. We will then continue our journey to the Tara Paradiso rafting center, where we will check in, have dinner, and enjoy socializing.
DAY 3: Wake up with coffee, tea, and breakfast, enjoying the natural surroundings. After that, we will pick up the equipment and head to the starting point for rafting at Brštenovica. The descent begins with a brief briefing about the Tara River and how to handle paddles, followed by an exciting ride through the river’s rapids for 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on the water level, until we reach our camp. After exiting the water and returning the equipment, lunch will be served. After lunch, we will leave the camp and head to Sarajevo by our vehicles. Upon arrival in Sarajevo, we will check into one of our partner 4-star hotels, followed by dinner and free time to enjoy this beautiful city.
DAY 4: On the fourth day, after breakfast, you will have a short visit to the city center of Sarajevo and some time for souvenir shopping. After that, our adventure comes to an end, and we will take you to the airport for your return home. We look forward to seeing you on one of our other tours.
