Day 1: Siem Reap – Farmhouse

Begin your unforgettable 2-day cycling and cultural adventure with a warm welcome at our adventure office in Siem Reap City Center, located on Wat Bo Road, between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM. After a safety briefing and bike fitting session with your guide, we’ll set off on a scenic 10 km ride toward West Baray and Kok Dong Village. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Angkor Silk Farm to witness traditional silk weaving techniques and learn about the craft’s cultural significance. Continuing along the ancient Angkor Highway, your guide will share captivating stories of King Jayavarman VII, the legendary Khmer monarch who built temples across Cambodia, Thailand, and Laos. This historic route once connected Angkor to Phimai in Thailand, and remnants like old bridge foundations still bear witness to its grandeur. As we cycle through rural villages, you’ll have the chance to observe daily life and interact with locals. Upon arrival at the farmhouse, a local family will greet you with a refreshing cold drink. You’ll have time to relax, freshen up, and explore the farm, learning about their agricultural practices. As the sun sets over the rice fields, enjoy a tranquil moment with cold drinks, mineral water, or beer. The evening culminates in a delicious home-cooked dinner prepared by the host family, offering a truly authentic countryside experience. You'll spend the night in a hammock under the stars, or opt for a mattress inside a traditional hut for added comfort.

Day 2: Farmhouse – Tonle Sap Lake Kayaking – Siem Reap

After a hearty breakfast and farewells to your hosts, continue your journey with a 25 km ride toward Tonle Sap Lake. Along the way, you’ll pass through rice paddies and flooded forests, observing water buffalo and villagers engaged in traditional farming. At the pier, board a local long-tail boat to visit Wat Chheu Khmao, a striking wooden pagoda on a small island between Siem Reap and Battambang. Meet local monks and learn about the temple’s sacred stories and cultural traditions. Next, explore Treak Village, a stilted community where daily life unfolds above the water. The boat then glides deeper into Tonle Sap to reach Prek Toal Floating Village, the lake’s largest floating community. Enjoy a home-hosted lunch aboard a floating house, followed by a visit to the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary, where you may spot rare and endangered waterbirds. Continue to Mechrey Village and kayak through serene mangrove forests, surrounded by natural beauty. Finally, cross to the opposite side of the lake, cycle 30 km back to Siem Reap, and conclude your adventure at our office, enriched by two days of cultural immersion and scenic exploration.
