Begin your adventure at the gate of Hangzhou No.14 High School, where a quiet local street leads you to the mountain trail. Hike up Baoshi Hill（宝石山） and pass by hidden gems—old villas, traditional houses, and ancient stone inscriptions carved into the cliffs.

Take a short rest at "The Age of Innocence" Bookstore（纯真年代书吧）, a cozy stop tucked into the hillside, before continuing to the iconic Baochu Pagoda（保俶塔）, a stone tower that has stood since the Five Dynasties (around A.D. 900) and now shines as one of West Lake’s landmarks.

Along the way, discover several scenic viewpoints offering sweeping vistas of West Lake and the city skyline. The highlight is Hama Peak（蛤蟆峰）, a dramatic rock ledge where you can take in a breathtaking panorama—West Lake glittering below, the mountains stretching into the distance, and Hangzhou’s modern skyline glowing at night.
