Begin at the Glacier Lagoons Main Parking Lot, where enormous icebergs that have fallen off the nearby Vatnajökull glacier float on an aquamarine lagoon. Board a large vehicle known as a super jeep, custom-built to handle Iceland’s rough terrain.
Head up the slopes of Vatnajökull glacier, Europe’s largest glacier, through a beautiful world of ice and snow. After some time in the super jeep, strap on your safety gear, leave the car behind, and start the glacier hike.
Learn all about glaciers, from how they are formed to how they constantly change. Reach the entrance to the ice cave, where you’ll have plenty of time to explore and photograph this stunning natural feature.
