Embark on a whale watching tour from Okinawa. Spot humpback whales in the warm waters of Okinawa and learn about these magnificent creatures from a veteran captain.

Cruise the warm waters of the Kerama Islands and watch for humpback whales — some of the largest mammals on Earth — as they come here each winter to mate and give birth.

Meet our friendly English speaking guide at the port and board our boat. The tour lasts up to three hours. Once whales are spotted, we spend about one hour observing them from a respectful distance, so you can enjoy natural behaviour without disturbing them. Keep your eyes on the horizon for spectacular breaches and tail slaps right in front of you!
This one-hour viewing time is part of an Okinawa-wide agreement designed to ensure the safety and well-being of these magnificent animals.
Return to Chatan Hamakawa Port at approximately 12:00 or 16:30 (may return earlier if whales are spotted quickly).
Although we do everything possible to find whales, sightings are not guaranteed. If no whales are seen, the boat returns to the port after approximately three hours.

Pregnant women, guests who are ill, intoxicated, or hungover are not allowed and may be refused boarding without a refund.
The tour may be cancel if there are not enough participants or sea conditions are poor. You will be informed the day before to reschedule or receive a refund.
We will do our best to reply to your request but the guide language is not always guaranteed.
Whale sightings are not guaranteed. If no whales are seen at all, (tour not complete) re-boarding or refunds are only available from February 1 to March 15, 2025 (subject to exchange rates). Outside this period, no refunds or re-boarding are offered. The tour is considered complete if a whale’s blow is seen from a distance or if any guest on board spots a whale.
Life jackets must be worn at all times.
Infants may not be allowed in extreme conditions for safty reason.
Reservations made after 3:00 PM the day before are not eligible for pick-up. Guests must gather at Naha Miegusuku Port, even if pick-up was selected.
The Check-in is inside the Naha Miegusuku port waiting room.
The staff will wear a blue t-shirt with Cerulean blue on it.
