Hiroshima in a Nutshell: Morning Bike Adventure

Hiroshima is one of the world's most iconic cities. Explore this fascinating place on two wheels with a small group of travellers and a knowledgable English speaking guide.
Meeting at Cycle Hiroshima HQ, we begin with a short orientation and bike fitting before we get rolling with a relaxing riverside ride to Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park. Here we’ll visit several of Hiroshima’s most iconic and moving monuments commemorating the atomic bombing of August 6th, 1945, including the Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As your guide paints a picture of the events of 1945, you’ll have time to ask questions and absorb the history and significance of this world famous location and its transformation into the City of Peace.

After leaving the Peace Park, we continue north to Gokoku Jinja, the most popular Shinto shrine in the city, then on through the grounds of Hiroshima Castle for a glimpse into the days of the Samurai. Before returning to base, we’ll take in the tranquility of Shukkei-en Garden, built in the Edo Period, and regarded as the most beautiful traditional garden in Western Japan.

Our route is completely flat, and suitable for anyone who can ride a bike! In addition to our fleet of Trek brand bikes in a range of sizes, we also offer step-throughs, e-bikes and child-sized bikes to accommodate all riders.
