Discover the history of Nara´s temples with this private tour in English by visiting
the center of the Japanese city. An essential route that you cannot miss!
Welcome to this immersive travel experience! On this tour we will travel around
Nara on foot.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Nara at 9:30 a.m. The tour of this historic
Japanese city starts by visiting Naramachi, the old merchant district.
Then we will visit Nara Park, where the famous deer that live in complete freedom
will be waiting for us.
The tour will continue by visiting the iconic Nandai-mon Gate, one of the most
prominent wooden gates in Nara. Do you know why it is so important?
After having lunch on your own, we will explore the majestic Todaiji temple. Did
you know that it has the largest wooden structure in the world? Once inside, we will
admire the statue of the Great Buddha, located in the main hall of the temple.
The last stop will take place at the Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Did you know that it was
rebuilt several times over the centuries?
Finally, after visiting that spiritual center we will return to your hotel in Nara. Arrival
is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

We will meet you at Nara's central station. The guide will send you a message the day before your tour to the number you provided on the website. Please ensure it is a number where the guide can reach you within Japan; if you have WhatsApp, that would be even better. If you are staying at a hotel in Nara, the guide can pick you up from your hotel.
