In this tea ceremony experience, you can discover the world of “Yobanashi”, a unique style that can only be enjoyed here.
“Yobanashi” refers to a tea gathering held at night.
In this experience, you will step into a dimly lit room wrapped in deep darkness, where the space is enclosed by dark curtains and illuminated only by the gentle flicker of candlelight.
This serene and mysterious atmosphere invites you to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of the “Yobanashi” tea ceremony.
Step away from the noise of everyday life, calm your mind, and take a moment to quietly reflect within yourself.


In this tea ceremony experience, we will guide you through each step carefully and at a relaxed pace, ensuring that even first-timers can enjoy it with ease.
There is no specific dress code, and children are most welcome to join.
Our kind instructors and staff will explain everything in detail, so we’d be delighted if you felt comfortable to take part.


1.First, you will choose a piece of traditional Japanese sweets (wagashi).
These seasonal confections are works of art that reflect the changing seasons of Japan. Each one tells a story, and simply looking at them can soothe the soul.
Choose your favourite, and look forward to the matcha you’ll soon enjoy.

2.The instructor will then demonstrate the formal tea preparation right before your eyes.
Each slow, deliberate gesture has a purpose, and just watching the performance, you’ll feel the atmosphere around you become still and your mind naturally calm.
The prepared matcha will be served to all guests.

3.Next, you’ll select a second piece of confectionery from the available options.
Each one beautifully reflects the seasons or nature of Japan, and its delicate sweetness pairs wonderfully with the matcha.
Please enjoy both with your eyes and your taste buds.

4.Now, it’s time for you to prepare matcha yourself.
Under the gentle guidance of the instructor, you will scoop hot water from the kettle and whisk your own matcha using a tea whisk (chasen).
The sound of water being poured, the fragrance rising from the bowl, the rhythm of the whisk—this time spent preparing your own matcha is a rare, rich, and peaceful experience.

5.Photo Time
During the tea-making experience, our staff will take plenty of photos for you using your own camera or smartphone.
This allows you to fully enjoy the experience while capturing your natural smiles and focused expressions.
In addition, we will print one of the photos with a Polaroid camera and give it to you as a special souvenir.
Take home a beautiful memory of this unique and memorable moment.
