3-Day Meru National Park-Ikweta Safari Camp

You'll explore the wilderness of Meru National Park, one of Kenya’s most beautiful protected areas, with diverse, pristine, abundant wildlife, and uncrowded parks in Kenya.
Day 1: Nairobi to Meru National Park

Your tour starts with pickup from your hotel/airport in the morning for a 5-hour road trip to Meru National Park. You will be able to enjoy great views of Mt Kenya region, with its fertile, green vegetation. You are set to arrive at your camp in time for lunch and check in at the camp.

Later in the afternoon, you'll begin your first game drive at Meru National Park to see rhinos in the wilderness, Grevy's zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, lions, leopards, cobras, buffalos, and over 400 recorded species of birds including the threatened Jungle Babbler, 8 species of Mount Kenya's endemic bird area, and 59 of the 94 Somali-Masai biome species that occur in Kenya.

You'll return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Meru National Park.

The second day is your full day with Nature. After an early morning breakfast, you'll depart with packed lunch boxes for a full-day tour. Meru National Park is famous for its lions and rhinos. The park is especially associated with Elsa the Lioness and the film Born Free. The park is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos in the wilderness.

You will enjoy your packed lunch in the park. You will continue with the game drives. Later, you will return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Meru National Park to Nairobi

You'll enjoy your breakfast as you check out in your camp and depart for Nairobi. On your way, you will have a stopover for lunch/refreshments (self-sponsored) arriving late in the afternoon for drop off at your hotel or airport.

Meals: Breakfast and water.
