From Nairobi: 10-Day Kenya and Tanzania Classic Safari

Embark on a 10-day safari from Nairobi to Tanzania. Visit the Masai Mara National Reserve, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day acclimating to your new time zone. Overnight at Best Western Meridian Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre
Start your trip with a visit to the giraffe center made famous by Daisy Rothschild, a baby giraffe rescued from the western border of Kenya. You will have the opportunity to hand-feed the giraffes.

Continue driving to Karen Blixen's house, then nearby kobe beads, where African women offer paintings and necklaces for sale. Overnight at Best Western Meridian or similar.

Day 3: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Travel to the Masai Mara in the southwest corner of Kenya, renowned for its game viewing. Have lunch at the lodge, before going out on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Jambo Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve
Set out early for a morning breakfast then proceed to full day game drive with picnic lunch. Drift above the beautiful landscape. Return to Mara Jambo Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
Depart from Masai Mara to the Isebania border. Arrive at the Kenya-Tanzania border in time for a hot lunch. After lunch and clearance formalities, proceed with Tanzania side safari. Leave the Isebania border to Serengeti to arrive in the late afternoon with a game drive on the way to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Osinon tented camp or similar.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying packed lunch with you. Marvel at what Serengeti has to offer regarding wild game hence famously known as the World’s largest wildlife sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Osinon tented camp or similar.

Day 7: Serengeti to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its huge herds of elephants and giraffe. The afternoon game drive is certain to inspire with views of the park's gigantic Baobab trees. Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Camp or similar.

Day 8: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara, famous for its nimble blue monkeys and elephants. More than 400 species live here, along with an abundance of birdlife that makes it a haven for bird watchers. The afternoon is at leisure to rest and enjoy the amenities of the camp, before dinner tonight at Kankairi Lodge or similar.

Day 9: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend almost 2,000 feet to the floor of the crater, containing diverse ecosystems and a vast concentration of birds and animals. You may spot gazelles, zebra and many more. Enjoy a picnic lunch before you ascend to the crater rim and return to Marera Valley Lodge or similar.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast proceed for a morning game drive and leave Ngorongoro National park for Arusha arriving in the afternoon where the safari ends.
