Day 1: Arrival and Lakeside Serenity in Naivasha

Depart from Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta Airport and enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment on the drive to Naivasha. Check into Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort and have a late lunch at the lodge while enjoying your first glimpse of Lake Naivasha.

In the late afternoon, embark on a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Glide past hippos, see hundreds of bird species (including fish eagles), and get up close to the water-loving giraffes and antelopes.

Day 2: Walk with Wildlife and Geological Wonders

Return to Sopa Lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, explore Hell's Gate National Park by car.

Day 3: From Lakes to Forests, then on to Nakuru

In the morning, visit Crater Lake Game Sanctuary. This is a hidden gem—a tranquil lake tucked inside a volcanic crater, often tinted green or blue by algae. It's a fantastic spot for a guided walk and bird watching, with a different, more intimate feel than Lake Naivasha.

Begin the drive to Nakuru. Check into your accommodation and lunch in Nakuru. Settle in, enjoy the lodge's facilities, and perhaps take a dip in the pool. This is a good time for some downtime before your evening game drive.

Day 4: The Pink Lake - Lake Nakuru National Park

Spend the full day on game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park. Famous for its vast flocks of flamingos that often turn the shoreline pink, the park is also a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos.

Your game drives will focus on:
- Flamingo Viewing: At the southern end of the lake (subject to water levels).
- Rhino Spotting: The park is one of the best places in Kenya to see these prehistoric creatures.

Day 5: Hyrax Hill and Journey Back

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your lodge. On your way back towards Nairobi, stop at Hyrax Hill Prehistoric Site. This small museum and archaeological site offers a fascinating look into early human settlement in the Rift Valley, with excavated tombs and Iron Age villages. (11:30 AM): Begin your journey back to Nairobi or to the airport, stopping for a final lunch at a roadside restaurant like The Tilapia in Naivasha for a last taste of fresh lake fish.
