Practice essential skills in a controlled environment like a pool. Skills include equipment setup, underwater communication, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures.
Complete at least 4 open water dives on the beach or shallow reef with a PADI instructor. Apply the skills learned in confined water and experience the beauty of underwater ecosystems as you explore real dive sites.
After successfully completing the training and required dives, receive a PADI Open Water Diver certification. This certification allows you to dive to depths of up to 18 meters (60 feet), either solo or with a buddy, and rent equipment at dive shops worldwide.
