4 Days Pikey Peak Trek : Above the cloud .

Pikey peak trek is one of the most popular trek from Kathmandu valley. It is a short and easy trek that allows one to stay near Mount Everest's base camp. It is an ideal choice for travel enthusiasts, bird watchers, and photographers to explore the Himalayan range.

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazar and Trek to Jhapre
We drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazar following the trail along Sunkoshi Khola ( river ) until we reach Ghurmi villageThe drive takes you to the stunning countryside of dense forests, various tranquil rivers, and terraced rice fields. We take a short break after reaching Dhap Bazar. We will hike to Japhre. Once we cross the Tibetan border village of Kerung we are off to Japhre village. Throughout the path, we discover many beautiful Buddhist monasteries and stunning landscapes filled with orchids. After a long hours of hike, we reach Jhapre. We will be staying overnight in one of the lodges.

Day 2: Trek to Pikey Base Camp
We hike towards the Pikey Base camp today which will take approximately 6 hours to reach. Pikey base camp is the second highest point of the trek situated at 3640m above sea level. We hike through stones, stupas, and ancient Buddhist monasteries along the trail.

Day 3: Trek to Pikey Peak and Trek back to Jhapre
Today, we trek to our destination i.e. Pikey Peak located at 4, 065m. After the 7 hours of hike, we reach Pikey Peak which is famous for the views of the Himalayan range. You will be awestruck by the vistas of the various Himalayan ranges extending from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri. You will also witness the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest (8848 m). After enjoying the views and successful completion of the trek, we head back to the Pikey Base Camp and back to Jhapre. We will be staying here overnight.

Day 4: Trek to Dhap and Drive back to Kathmandu
After having breakfast, we trek to Dhap. Once we reach Dhap, we drive back to Kathmandu reflecting on this wonderful trek we have just completed. The driver will drop you off at your respective hotels.
