Start your day with a sunrise view of the Himalayas on a trip from Kathmandu. Enjoy a hike from Nagarkot to the Chagunarayan Temple, passing through the village area of Nagarkot and around.

Begin your day with a hotel pick-up and drive to Nagarkot hill. Driving through the city of Bhaktapur, Telkot, arrive at Nagarkot. The hill offers a panoramic view of the sunrise over the spectacular Himalayan range on a clear day. You can also see a glimpse of The Mt. Everest in the distance.

After the sunrise view from a viewpoint and visiting the village, stop for breakfast and tea/coffee at a café or restaurant in Nagarkot hill. Then, start hiking toward Chagunaryan Temple. On the way, pass through the village area of Nagarkot and around.

See the different old villages, lifestyle of villagers, and how different castes coexist with each other. The hiking trail is mostly downward in altitude except the gently ascending of 150 to 200m from Telkot.

After 4 to 4:30 hours of hiking from Nagarkot view point to Changu Narayan Temple, reach the temple. Changu Narayan Temple is one of the famous pilgrimage sites of Nepal and also has an ancient archaeological foundation temple.

It is said that Changu Narayan temple was built by King Haridatta Burma of the Lichchhibi period in 323 B.S. Changu Narayan temple is not only important from a historical, artistic, and religious point of view but also as a major tourist destination.

Changu Narayan is one the seven world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley declared by UNESCO. The temple which is considered to be the oldest among the ancient temples in the valley.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Early in the morning(04:30 AM), receive with your guide at your hotel in Kathmandu and scenic drive to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur and Telkot. Arrival at Nagarkot and drive to view tower to see the sunrise over the mighty Himalayas. You will take your breakfast in a restaurant and start trek about 7:30 AM. Trek down to Telkot crossing different village, village lifestyle, forest, landscape, mountain and agriculture field scenery. After lunch trek continue to Changunarayam temple(temple dedicated to Bishnu). After visitng Changunarayan, scenic drive to Kathmandu and transfert at your hotel.
