Short Day Trek: Pothana & Australian Camp from Pokhara

Day hike from Pothana to Australian Camp: Enjoy a scenic trek through forests and hills with stunning views of Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna range, perfect for a half-day adventure.
After breakfast, our guide pick you up with your name card from your hotel in Pokhara.

Drive along the scenic Pokhara–Baglung highway to Kande (1,770m), the starting point of the hike.

Enjoy views of terraced fields, local villages, and the backdrop of the Annapurna range during the drive.

Trek from Kande to Australian Camp (2–2.5 hrs)

Begin the uphill hike through stone steps and lush forest trails.

Reach Australian Camp (2,050m), a popular viewpoint known for wide, unobstructed views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Manaslu ranges.

Take some time here for photos, tea/coffee, and to relax in the peaceful atmosphere.

Trek from Australian Camp to Pothana (30–40 min)

Continue the hike through a gentle forest trail to Pothana (1,890m).

This small Gurung village offers traditional houses, rhododendron forests, and another angle of the Himalayan panorama.

Lunch will be served at a local teahouse while enjoying the mountain views.

Trek from Pothana to Kande (1.5–2 hrs)

After lunch, descend gradually back through forests and stone steps to Kande.

Walk offers a different perspective of the hills and valleys surrounding Pokhara.

Return Drive to Pokhara (1 hr)

From Kande, drive back to Pokhara.

Arrive at your hotel by late afternoon or early evening.
