Day 0: Arrival in Skopje

Begin your adventure with a pickup at Skopje International Airport. Enjoy a warm welcome and transfer to your centrally located 4-star hotel. Spend the evening at your leisure, with suggestions for local dining and a walk through the Old Bazaar.

Day 1: Skopje, Canyon Matka, and Millennium Cross

Start your day with a sightseeing tour of Skopje. Explore the iconic Skopje Fortress, Old Bazaar, Mother Teresa Memorial House, and Alexander the Great Square. Take a panoramic stroll across the Stone Bridge and see landmarks blending Ottoman and modern heritage.

Next, head to Canyon Matka for a boat ride through breathtaking scenery. Then, take a cable car ride to the Millennium Cross on Mount Vodno for panoramic views. Return to Skopje for shopping and leisure at the modern East Gate Mall or traditional Old Bazaar. Enjoy dinner at a local Macedonian restaurant or a riverside eatery.

Day 2: Ohrid and Mountain Spirit

Drive through the scenic Straza Pass, surrounded by lush landscapes. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ohrid Old Town, including the Church of St. John Kaneo, Ancient Theatre, Samoil’s Fortress, and Old Bazaar. Take an optional boat ride on Lake Ohrid.

In the afternoon, stop at the John Bigorski Monastery, a Byzantine-style monastery hidden among the forests of Mavrovo National Park. Return to Skopje by evening.

Day 3: Bitola, Prilep, and Optional Wine Tasting

Visit Prilep, the “city under Marko’s Towers,” for Ottoman bazaars and ancient churches. Explore Kruševo, the highest town in the Balkans and a symbol of Macedonian independence.

In Bitola, stroll down Shirok Sokak pedestrian street and visit the Heraclea Lyncestis archaeological site, featuring Greek and Roman ruins. Enjoy an optional wine tasting at Chateau Sopot in the Veles region, sampling 3–5 local wines.

Day 4: Southern Serbia and Niš

Drive through the Pčinja valley, stopping for a coffee break and short stroll in Vranje, a town of literature and tradition. Explore Niš, the birthplace of Emperor Constantine the Great. Visit Niš Fortress, Skull Tower, and the Bubanj Memorial Park. Enjoy lunch in the bohemian Tinkers Alley (Kazandžijsko sokače) before returning to Skopje.

Day 5: Kosovo and Albania Adventure

Visit the Gadime Marble Cave, a natural wonder of crystal and stone. See the magnificent Gracanica Monastery (UNESCO) and take a short walking tour in Pristina, including the Newborn monument, Mother Teresa Cathedral, and Ethnographic Museum.

Cross into Albania, driving through the scenic White Drin valley. Stop for a coffee break in Kukës, known for its wartime hospitality during the Kosovo crisis. Explore Prizren, the cultural gem of Kosovo, including the Sinan Pasha Mosque, Stone Bridge, and Fortress with sunset views. Enjoy an optional local dinner in the Old Town before returning to Skopje.

Day 6: Departure Day

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Skopje International Airport based on your flight time.
