“Colca Canyon Trekking 2D/1N – Andean Experience”

Itinerary – Colca Canyon Trekking 2 Days / 1 Night
Day 1: Arequipa – Cruz del Condor – San Juan de Chuccho – Sangalle Oasis

3:00 AM Departure from Plaza de Armas in Arequipa and pick-up of passengers from hotels in the historic center. Departure to Chivay.

6:30 am Arrival in Chivay for breakfast and onward journey to the Cross of the Condor.

8:00 a.m. Visit to the Cruz del Condor vantage point, located at approximately 3,500 meters above sea level. Enjoy the majestic flight of the Andean condor and the breathtaking views of the Colca Canyon.

9:00 a.m. Transport to the Pampa San Miguel vantage point, where we will begin the trek. We'll descend along a zigzag trail into the canyon, passing through natural landscapes, abundant vegetation, and a suspension bridge. The hike will last approximately 3 to 4 hours and cover 5.5 km.

12:00 pm Arrival in San Juan de Chuccho to enjoy lunch and take a short break.

2:00 PM We will continue walking through Cosñirhua and Malata, enjoying the landscapes, crops, and traditional communities of the Colca Valley, until we reach the Sangalle Oasis.

5:00 PM Arrival in Sangalle, an oasis with a tropical climate surrounded by palm trees and mountains. You will have time to relax, enjoy the natural pool, or unwind by the Colca River. In the evening, dinner, campfire, and accommodation.

Day 2: Sangalle – Cabanaconde – Maca – Chacapi – Chivay – Arequipa

5:00 AM We will begin the ascent to Cabanaconde, a demanding hike of approximately 3 hours and 5 km, enjoying views of the canyon and the sunrise.

8:00 AM Arrival in Cabanaconde and breakfast.

9:00 AM Return to Chivay with stops at the main attractions of the valley. We will visit Maca and the traditional Church of Santa Ana, and have time for photographs and to buy handicrafts.

11:00 am Visit to the thermal baths of Chacapi in Yanque, whose waters reach approximately 35°C to 38°C, ideal for relaxing after trekking.

12:00 pm Buffet lunch in Chivay.

1:00 PM Drop-off in Arequipa with a stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, located at approximately 4,910 meters above sea level, from where we will enjoy views of the Western Andes mountain range. We will continue to the Bofedales de Toccra, where we can see alpacas.

3:00 PM Visit to Pampa Cañahuas, bordering the snowy Chachani, to observe vicuñas in the wild.

5:30 PM Arrival in Arequipa and transport to the tourist bus stop. (Calle Zela) End of our services.
