2D/1N Colca Canyon Trek – Adventure from Arequipa

Enjoy an unforgettable experience in the Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world. This 2-day, 1-night trek from Arequipa combines nature, Andean culture, and adventure, taking you to discover spectacular landscapes, traditional villages, and the famous Sangalle Oasis.

Day 1: Arequipa – Colca Canyon – Sangalle Oasis

The tour begins with pick-up at your hotel or the main square at 2:45 a.m. After a scenic transfer, you will experience a Pachamama ceremony at the La Bruja viewpoint (4900 m). Then you will visit the AGOTREK viewpoint and the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where you will have the opportunity to observe the flight of the majestic Andean condor.

After a country-style breakfast buffet, you will begin the hike from Pampa San Miguel. You will descend along trails surrounded by basalt formations and unique views of the canyon until you reach San Juan de Chuccho, where you will enjoy lunch at a family home. In the afternoon, you will continue trekking to the Sangalle Oasis (2200 m), where you can relax in the natural pool, have dinner, and spend the night in a local eco-lodge.

Day 2: Oasis – Cabanaconde – Hot Springs – Arequipa

The second day begins early at 5 a.m. with the challenging 1,100 m ascent to Sejana and then Cabanaconde, where a typical breakfast awaits you. After the hike, you will travel to Yanque to enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot springs of La Chimpa (30–50 °C).

The tour continues with lunch at a family restaurant and the return to Arequipa, passing through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. Arrival in the historic center is scheduled for around 5:00 pm.
