In this half-day excursion, we will explore the Añashuayco quarry and the carving process, as well as tour the Quebrada de Culebrillas, where impressive petroglyphs can be found.
The excursion begins with pick-up from the hotel (located near or within the historic center) at 8:50 a.m.
-We will travel towards the Sillar Route, making a stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the views of the two volcanoes that surround the city of Arequipa.
-We will continue our tour until we reach the Añashuayco Quarry, where we will observe the process of extraction and carving of the stone.
-We will leave the quarry and, after about 30 minutes, we will arrive at the Quebrada de Culebrillas. This water canyon, with walls that reach 20 meters high, invites us to explore its trails during a walk of about 20 minutes.
-Our last stop on the Ruta del Sillar will be to admire the petroglyphs of the canyon.
-Return to the city of Arequipa, arriving at approximately 1:00 pm.
