From Zurich: 2-Day GoldenPass Express Self-Guided Train Trip

Day 1:

Dip your toe into the thriving urban swim scene on the River Aare fed by Alpine meltwater, and follow its contours to uncover the UNESCO Old Town nestled within a big loop of the river. Bern Old City is a great to explore, you'll find riverside parks, open air markets and historic monuments. Look out for the varied water fountains and statues distributed around town.

Finally, head back to the station to catch the train back to Zurich.
