Your journey begins in Tissamaharama, the gateway to Yala National Park. Check in at our eco-friendly Go Yala Hostel, set in a peaceful lakeside area surrounded by farms and greenery. The hostel offers dorm beds and private budget rooms, all with air conditioning for your comfort. With Wi-Fi, common spaces, and a lakefront setting, it’s an ideal base for travelers who love nature and adventure.

Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and settle into your room. In the evening, share a traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry dinner with fellow travelers, freshly prepared with local ingredients. Dining with views of the lake and farmland adds a cultural and homely touch to your stay.

The highlight of your trip is the safari in Yala National Park, just a short drive from Tissamaharama. Guests can choose between three safari options:
• Morning Safari (5:00 am – 12:00 pm): Half-day adventure with breakfast served inside the park.
• Afternoon Safari (12:00 pm – 6:00 pm): Explore the park’s landscapes and wildlife with light snacks included.
• Full-Day Safari (5:00 am – 6:00 pm): A complete experience with both breakfast and lunch provided.

Travel in a shared open-top jeep with a professional driver-guide who knows the best wildlife hotspots. Yala is world-famous for leopards, but you may also spot elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, buffalo, deer, wild boar, and countless bird species. Every safari is unique, offering a new chance to see rare animals.

This package offers excellent value. Along with the safari, you get comfortable hostel accommodation, meals (dinner on the first night, plus breakfast/lunch depending on safari choice), bottled water, and snacks. Please note that Yala National Park entrance fees are not included and must be paid directly at the gate (approx. 13,000 LKR / 43 USD per person).

Transport from Other Cities
For extra convenience, we can arrange transfers from Galle, Ella, Mirissa, Tangalle, Weligama, Unawatuna, Hikkaduwa, Hiriketiya and Udawalawa and other cities. Guests will be brought directly to Go Yala Hostel for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay before the safari. Please contact us after booking to arrange transport at an additional cost.
