8-Day Serengeti Great Migration Tour - Mara River Crossing

Day 1: Arusha-Planet Lodge
Our guide will pick you up at Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha) and take you to your hotel in Arusha for overnight stay. You can choose to visit Arusha with our guide (free of charge). Be sure to rest while preparing for tomorrow's safari! Dinner and overnight at Arusha Planet Lodge

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Today you will be picked up from the lodge early in the morning to begin your wonderful journey to Tarangire National Park. You will take a packed lunch with you to eat on the way. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants and its diverse landscape, from seasonal swamps to savannah plains. We may have the experience of watching a lion stalk its prey or leopards relaxing in the trees above. After the game drive, you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will head into the central Serengeti for a game drive. You will eat lunch in the park and continue the game in the afternoon before arriving at the campsite.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the northern Serengeti and the Mara River to see the Great Migration. Our safari guide is sure to find the best spot. Overnight at Heritage Mara Camp

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Get up early and enjoy breakfast before continuing your game drive to see the Great Migration. Later, we will drive back to the central part of the park, where we will spend the night. The Great Migration is the largest herd movement of wildebeest, zebra and other animals that cross the Mara River in Kenya's Masai Mara. The best time to visit is from July to early October every year. Accommodation: Central Serengeti Luxury Camp

Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast we will head to Ngorongoro Crater with lunch boxes in hand for another game drive. This park consists of the largest continuous caldera in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa. Around 30,000 large mammals live here year-round, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos. Many different birds also all crater at home. Accommodation Marera Valley Lodge

Day 7: Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will head towards Lake Manyara, packed lunch in hand. After we finish our game drive here, you will be transferred to Arusha for overnight stay. Accommodation Arusha Planet Lodge

Day 8: Arusha
After breakfast you will relax at the lodge and if time permits, take a short trip to Arusha for some shopping. Later, you will be transferred to the airport to conclude your adventure. Lake Manyara is famous for the tree lions that hide in the branches of the trees and the many colonies of baboons that inhabit the forest. Baboons will accompany you along the road from the moment you enter the park!
