Zanzibar: 3-Day Serengeti Fly-In Safari with Meals

Day 1: Arrival in Serengeti

Begin your adventure by flying from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam to the Serengeti. Meet your professional safari driver guide at the Seronera airstrip and receive a short safari briefing. Then, embark on a game drive in the vast Serengeti plains.

Enjoy a packed lunch at the Seronera Visitor’s Center or somewhere in the bush while watching animal actions.

The Serengeti National Park, with its endless rolling plains, is one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Its ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth, with nutritious grasslands and water attracting a large number of wildlife.

Follow the wildebeest migration if it’s in the Serengeti. Expect to see thrilling animal actions like eating, fighting, hunting, and sometimes killing. Spot herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, elephant, hippos, and many antelopes.

A good number of predators inhabit this park, including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard. The Serengeti is also home to countless bird species like ostriches, secretary birds, herons, and crowned cranes.

Drive to your camp before or during the sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Serengeti Migration Safari

Leave the camp early in the morning for a sunrise game drive. Enjoy a packed breakfast and lunch in your safari vehicle. Early morning game drives allow you to spot some cat families on the road as they try to avoid the morning mist.

See other predators coming back from their long night of hunting or a pride of lionesses organizing a morning ambush or eating along the road.

Break for breakfast somewhere in the bush and proceed with a game drive until lunchtime, which can be served at the Seronera picnic site. After lunch and a little rest, have a short visit to the Seronera Visitor’s Center before resuming your afternoon game drive. Drive back to your camp before or during the sunset.

Day 3: Serengeti to Arusha or Back to Zanzibar

After breakfast, drive to Arusha with an en-route game drive. Optionally, visit a Masai village on the way. The drive is along the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority and across the Great East African Rift Valley.

Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon for an overnight stay (own account) or drop off at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for departure.
