In the town of Sassari, in northwestern Sardinia, there is a truly unique museum: the Ecomuseum of the Sea and Water. With this guided tour, you'll delve into the city's underground to discover a little-known history immersed in a truly evocative setting. We are talking about an ancient aqueduct, dating back to the 19th century, whose access is located under an elegant Liberty building. Accompanied by the many stories that distinguish its history, you will visit the long underground tunnel of spring water adduction, 8 meters deep, where everything has remained unchanged since 1878. You will also enjoy the museum areas dedicated to Latin sailboats and have access to the sea library consisting of thousands of publications.

THE MUSEUM AND THE VISIT
The Ecomuseum of the Sea and Water, was created to raise awareness of the water cycle and the world of the sea on the environmental, historical and ethnological levels. The experience of the visit is oriented also in this sense and uses illustrative panels, models, relics of the world of Latin sailing and the birth of the nautical pleasure, as well as traditional hulls made by the most famous shipwrights of Stintino. The route of the visit follows that of the water that still flows along the tunnel and between cue from this to tell the characteristics of a structure born when there was still the power supply and therefore you had to take advantage of the natural characteristics of the bike of water and local orography.
