Along your journey, enjoy an original audio guide that leads you through five engaging segments: preparing to board at Battery Park, crossing the harbor on the ferry to Liberty Island, exploring the grounds of Liberty Island, traveling to and walking through Ellis Island, and reflecting on your experience during the return ferry ride. Please bring your own headphones and a fully charged smartphone.

The official NPS audio guide is available at Liberty and Ellis Islands (separate).
Allow 3–5 hours for a full experience of both islands.
You must pass through airport-style security screening at Battery Park before boarding the ferry.
If you book a departure after 2:00 PM, please note that you may not have enough time to visit both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The last return ferry leaves Ellis Island around 5:00 PM.
Any minor 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult 25 or older. All ages are welcome
Please arrive at Battery Park in Lower Manhattan for your Statue of Liberty ferry departure. The ferry terminal is located near Castle Clinton, inside Battery Park.

After arriving, follow signs for Statue City Cruises. You’ll check in and go through airport-style security before boarding the ferry.
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to allow enough time for security screening.
